Supper Serenade – This mini concert, potluck, and silent auction, features all choral students performing at least one piece of music. Typically, the choirs will present lighter, music in more of a popular style. Student solos are sometimes also featured.
Winter Choral Concert –
Motus Perpetuus - This annual concert of perpetual motion features all choirs in our program. Students perform from all parts of Barnum Hall provide a pseudo-surround sound experience. The concert progresses without applause from one piece to the next. As soon as one choir finishes another begins in another part of the hall. This is a very unique choral experience and is one of concert goers favorites. Alumni are invited to the stage to sing the Hallelujah Chorus and Samohi Hymn of Praise.
Café Samo –
Samohi’s annual cabaret style performance features student lead songs, skits, original compositions, bands and dance. This is truly a fun evening and is not to be missed.
Masterworks Concert –
Each year Madrigal Ensemble, Chamber Singers, and Samohi Chorale combine forces with our amazing orchestra and band program to present a major choral work. You will not believe that this is a high school concert! Previous performances have featured Carmina Burana, Faure Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, Bernstein Chichester Psalms, and Puccini Messe di Gloria.
Cathedral Classics –
This concert is presented in the foyer of Barnum Hall for it’s wonderful reverberant acoustic. It provides the audience an up-close-and-personal concert experience. The setting is very intimate and seating is quite limited, be sure to reserve your space early.
Spring Choral Concert –
This is our end of the year concert which features the culminated work of all of our entire choral program. Special end-of-the-year awards are given and each of our graduating seniors is honored. Alumni are invited up to the stage to sing the Langager Irish Blessing, and the Samohi Hymn of Praise.
